NWA pilots ponder pay cut

The Northwest Airlines pilots union decided Friday to draft a proposal by March that would cut pilots' compensation.
The move by the Northwest branch of the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) is an important first step toward meeting the airline's demand to cut labor costs at the Eagan-based carrier, which has lost $1.3 billion since early 2001.
