NOW I\'m A Commercial Pilot !

Passed the test today. What a feeling to have it done. Now to lie down in a dark room.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/spin2.gif

Not sure what's next. Firstly, it'll be save up more money!
Then probably one of these:

1) Start on CFI
2) Seaplane rating
3) Gliding
4) Tailwheel (Citabria)
5) Realise flying is far too expensive and give it up and take up stamp collecting instead

congrats...how long did Anders punish you today? Did you just knock out the landings and call it a day?

Yep - just had to do those two landings then I was done.

I can tell you that I won't miss flying the Arrow. That thing was a beast!

Well Done. I did my comm and my entire CFI ride in the arrow. I didn't mind them but when you chop the power for the 180 landing the arrow becomes a brick. Anyway good luck with whats next /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Smilecrunch.gif

I feel ya. I flew the original model Arrow (1967, short-winged) for my CFI. I felt like I had to do a retro-burn prior to chopping the power on the downwind. The thing glides like the space shuttle. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

CFII is fun though, because they finally let ya back into the C172. After flying the Arrow, it's relaxing to be able to one-finger-fly that thing around (if he ever gives me controls /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif).

See, I was bass-ackwards!! Did my CFII for the initial, so it was a pretty smooth transition... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just have to know how to work the system in your favor!!!

How's that work anyways? If you're just a CFII, can you teach in both singles and multis (assuming you have a multiengine rating on your commercial), as long as you're providing instrument instruction?

When I was just a CFII, I could only give instrument instruction in single engine aircraft.

It made the checkride process that much easier, though!!!

i just did mine on thursday. Im ready to transition back to the 172...im tired of fighting the beast too.

i think me-comm/ia is next for me. good luck
