Cobra Kai Flight Academy is a flight school out of KCWC in Wichita Falls, who is currently hiring Flight Instructors, Avionics Technicians, and Mechanics (Including those with only their A or their P!).
Instructors:
Our flight school is a 141 operation but we also conduct plenty of 61 instruction, and have enough students for a full time CFI. Outside of instruction, we also have a 135 certificate utilizing a glass cockpit A36 Bonanza, and conduct 91 operations in a 501 and 550 Citation, alongside providing pilots for an operation utilizing various models of King Airs such as C and F90s. We're currently hiring both salaried and paid by the hour instructors. Most of our instruction is performed in AA-5A Cheetahs for primary/instrument training, an A36 Bonanza for complex training, and a 55 and 58 Baron for Multi-engine/ATP training. The 58 and A36 are both equipped with air conditioning. Future plans for the flight school include a military contract which will utilize 5 Grob 120TPs for aerobatic training, which will be loggable as single engine turbine time.
Avionics Technicians and Mechanics:
We perform both avionics upgrades on customer aircraft, as well as maintain a fleet of 10+ aircraft, varying from full glass cockpit instrumentation to old "steam" gauges. Our shop is a 145 operation which also conducts maintenance under 65 in separate hangars. Pay is based upon experience, but is competitive with larger cities such as Dallas, and will be discussed during the interview process.
