Northern Air Cargo hiring again

Northern Air Cargo (NAC) up here in Anchorage, Alaska is hiring. I think right now they'll be looking for at least two more. I am currently out the door and another co-worker just left (both heading into another aviation career field). If you are in the area, or are willing to relocate, you've probably got a good chance. We've hired one from out of state and I believe another coming from out of state too.

Starting pay is $20.18 an hour last I checked. Schedule is 4/3 but right now lots of overtime due to vacations, people leaving, etc.

Currently operating a 737-300 and the last gravel kit 737-200 in the US (I believe) out of ANC, one 737-400 currently in HNL flying for a sister company (we still dispatch it), and two 767-300s flying out of MIA. We usually have a 737 based out of LRD for on-demand flying but right now we needed the aircraft elsewhere. Currently working on getting ETOPS certification for another 767-300.

If there's any questions feel free to ask or shoot me a message.

4000 miles? Good lord! I hope you and your car are up for it. That’s atleast 7 hours by air, I hate to imagine how many hours it to drive...

Luckily I've got a newer car, so car should be good (fingers crossed!). It's looking to be about a 64 hour drive in total.

Just to touch base, talked to the dispatch manager. No relocation assistance currently provided by the company. Down the road, that could change but at this point that's where its at.

Scale is $20.18 to $29.11 an hour. He did mention he is working to get the scale changed as our operations have changed significantly and our pay scale doesn't reflect that.

Anyone else has any questions, let me know. It's my last day here tonight but I can get answers if needed.

I think he's doing good. Lots of projects on his plate considering where the company is working to head towards, but he's definitely making headway in getting changes done. I knew him outside of here, he was actually one of my instructors in my dispatch school (the other instructor was my boss at my previous employer too).

That's only 4 loooong days of driving. I've been known to drive 1200 miles in one day. Did 850 on a bike once and will never do that again. Parts of me were numb that A. I didn't think could get numb and B. Didn't know I had.

I'll luckily have my friend riding with me, offered to pay for his food and his plane ticket back and he was all for it. Even if it went by myself I could probably get it done fairly quick, but I would definitely be exhausted by the end.

Have a good trip!

Thanks! Getting close, spent a night with some friends in Colorado so I’ll finish the drive tomorrow. Got through Canada in less than two days, which is a record for me now.
