Don't know why they would, it's not like single-pilot ops in multi-engine jets is anything cosmic. In fact, I think there should be more jets certed for that

Mike, I agree that certain A/C should be authorized for this. I posted, because I wanted to know if any of you had heard anything about this. Not sure if it's true or not. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Properly trained professional pilots have proven to be perfectly capable conducting these operations in everything from a Metro to an A-10 ( /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif) etc. I believe this issue came up when the feds and other groups realized that wealthy "owner pilots" will soon be infiltrating our air traffic system with the new "super light jets", Eclipse etc. I could definitely see how this could be a problem.
Although there are "pro's" that cause their share of problems, I can only imagine the problems when there are hundreds of Doc's and Lawyers cruisin' around at 35oh and .74
Flyover, in response to your comment, I believe AOPA etc. is already involved in the discussions. I don't know what their stand is, but I can guess.

I haven't heard of any proposed ruling, then again, I'm not that into the loop either. But I agree, with proper training and currency, there's no reason it can't be safely done..........Sunday doctor/lawyer flyers notwithstanding... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
