Pick your most likely to attend date:

So far, looking at future conventions, there are 50,000 folks expected for the ADA (Dental Association) convention the week of the 16-19 and 15,000 for some Entertainment convention on the 20-22....I'm considering halloween weekend out since there are 2 conventions with 150,000 total expected and halloween people on top of that.

so from that, we have these two sets of dates we'd like to choose from...

I have 4 days down such that people can use an extra day if needed.. but most likely we'll keep NJC functions to a 3 day interval unless folks want to change it to a 4 day interval....

questions or comments, feel free to post

The venue will still be the bellagio (it worked out really well this year) unless there's another hotel that's just as good or better (but not more expensive)...it's just a matter of picking the dates now.

I voted for the 21st-24th. A lot less crowded and less expensive Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

But in the end I will be there!

Oops, JEP looked at the wrong calendar......voted for the 18th....but meant for the 21st.....

Sunday morning departure from LAS.....Not Good......

It would definitely be nice being there when it's not so busy, but I think you might get less turn out doing it during the week. It's easy for some people to get a long weekend, but not so much for 3-4 weekdays off. I know I wouldn't be able to make it without using vacation days, which I probably wouldn't do- only because I use most of it to visit my family that I otherwise hardly see. Just a thought.

ok, i'm gonna add in one more set of days...kindof combining weekend and weekday...such that the three possibilities include holding the "event" on a weekend day.. or weekday...depending on which group of days work best for everyone

How would we re-vote for the new date options?

I like the idea of being in Vegas during the weekdays when Vegas is less busy, the part weekday/part weekend works as well.

I thought you were flying the first leg out of LAS :nana2:

Kristie, check out the prices and specs on the suites at the Rio.
There's also some nice places on the western edge of town but it would be much more traveling, less options for outside activities.

And call me if you need someone in town to do legwork.

Seriously.....Well in that case.....I will adjust my schedule to the a/c's. I'd gladly take the 1st leg.......

oohh, Saturday departure.....not so good for the paying pax....I'll stick with the weekday option....for my vote that is....but either way.....

I voted thinking that this would be an east coast event. What was the consensus on that in the previous thread?

NJC2004 - Las Vegas
NJC2005 - Las Vegas
NJC2006 - Las Vegas
NJC2007 - any guess?

Seriously though....it has been brought up, but LAS is a place that has many flights (non-revers), sometimes economical fares (paying pax) and plenty to do for all......

east coast is still being talked about.. not quite yet in the works...so yes, this is vegas NJC

last week of 07 to 08 is definately a no go as many of the pilots have to work the holiday season....

buddy passes we're working on....you have to pay for them but they will be offered to those who "need" them.

I just hope my old man's 1989 seniority helps me get a ride to Vegas on one of SuthanJets Intanashunal's finest 75 or 76. . . :)

The benefits of a SuthanJets Intanashunal brat. . . I wonder if I end up hired by them if I can keep my old man's seniority, or just use his (mine) flightpass card instead of mine. . . his PPR would be much better than mine I'm sure ;) lol
