Night Currency

For those of you in the 121, 135, 91K worlds:

How do your companies handle night currency (3 night landings in 90 days)?

We have checkrides every 6 months that cover instrument currency, but currently our night currency program is non-existent.

In part 121 they land at night all the time and most likely don't have to worry about night currency.

My last part 135 job I was getting 5 night landings per night.

I also didn't carry passengers, so it really didn't matter.

That's actually not true. Over the summer a lot of guys bid mornings to avoid thunderstorms. It is very easy to go more than 6 months and never fly in the dark. In the winter it's not so bad as often times the first leg occurs entirely at "night". Or at least it works that way for operators doing lots of short legs.

Prior to the start of contract we do 3 night landings. After that it's not hard for the A/C to get 3 landings over the next 3 months when you are flying 14 legs in a day. Add to that we don't carry any pax. :)
