That's actually not true. Over the summer a lot of guys bid mornings to avoid thunderstorms. It is very easy to go more than 6 months and never fly in the dark. In the winter it's not so bad as often times the first leg occurs entirely at "night". Or at least it works that way for operators doing lots of short legs.In part 121 they land at night all the time and most likely don't have to worry about night currency.
