Nice Vacation

I am looking for a place to go in the Caribbean in December. But the thing is that around the time that I want to go, the prices are expensive. Any ideas where to go that isn't that expensive? Thanks
 
Bahammas and inexpensive is about as oxymoronic (is that a word, or did I just pull the GW Bush?) as anything out there. The Florida Keys are Bahamma-like and probably less expensive.

Actually if you want seclusion I recommend Culebra Island in Puerto Rico, I think there is a brand new Hotel on the (Very Small) island.

However all of Puerto Rico is comparable to Miami, or Ft. Lauderdale depending on where you stay, just avoid San Juan and you'll be fine.

Go to a travel agent ... they are the ones that can find the cheapo packages that are out there, some all inclusive. If you're doing it on your own, Domenican Republic will be the cheapest in terms of accomodations ... Bahamas will be the cheapest in terms of airfare.

When I checked from BUF and YYZ it was extremly expensive. I would love to visit there though!
Edit: Airfare from Toronto is about $1000 return flight, pretty high.
