I keep seeing ads for various management positions (CFO, DO, CP, etc.) for an unnamed start up airline on uspilot.com Unfortunately they dont give much info about who, where, what. Anyone know what the deal is?

Who's the CEO? What's the business plan? Who are the investors? Most of the startups never get past the paper airplane stage. Either that, or they wind up being money grabs where the only people that make money are the top execs a la Skybus.

God's revenge on extremely stupid rich guys is putting the notion in their head that it is a good idea to start an airline. A bit less dramatic than lightning bolts, but essentially accomplishes the same thing.

Is Family at it again? ;) I hear they changed their name to Avatar Airlines :insane:

There are two or three in the start up phase right now. There's an outfit in New York that is trying to convert from a 135 to a 121 operation. There is California Pacific in Carlsbad that is waiting on approval to operate 170s and then just to be confusing there is California Airlines who are trying to spin up a 747 op between LA (I think?) and Hawaii and Manila. I think they are the ones looking for management guys. CalPac was looking for a DO for a bit but I think they found one. I talked to their CP recently and he said there were a lot of people who saw the ad for open positions and assumed it was them and they got flooded with resumes they didn't need.
