Right but cjc is shifting from the 5th and 20th so there will probably be some prorating involved
Is that for sure? I posed the question to BN and he said that there is no set date for transition to new dates. The next paycheck should still be old rates if you look that definition of "second" and "first" paycheck.
Whooaaa why would our next paycheck be at our old pay rates? It should be the 1/2 guarantee under our new rates right?
If it wasn't in the los, then they don't get to drag their feet. 500+ grieve a breach of contract and guess what will happen
Contractually, each pay day is 37.5 hours, with the first pay check of each month (15th check) including any per diem, over gar. etc. There are no provisions based upon "days" of the month, and pro rating the check would take the month of Feb. below the minimum Gar. of 75 hours.
As I see it, and read it, a pro rate would be a violation of the contract. Our contract covers explicit reasons why a pay check may be reduced below 37.5 hours, and none that I see include changes to the payroll date.
If I have missed a segemnt of the LOA fine... but with the current payroll issues that CJC has had, if people loose 11 hours of pay to a pro rate there would be a lot of really, really pissed of pilots.
Also, if the pay dates is not covered in the LOA, then it is in force now. 1st and 15th it should be.
Planes will fly and everything will still be on time?
Planes will fly and everything will still be on time?
Yep, they will... but it will end up costing them money, something they really like to avoid i hope.
How?
