new job

I found a job in Michigan doing study coordination again. I'm excited to have found a job there because we were moving regardless and now we'll be able to afford the bills! I am sad though to be leaving Utah. This place has been my home for the last 4 years and I'll definitely miss the mountains, skiing, camping, and mountain biking around here. It's a bit of a bittersweet feeling. It's nice to be moving back towards family though.

:) The weather in Michigan is actually a lot more extreme than the weather in Park City! Michigan will fluctuate between -10*F - 90*+ whereas Park City stays roughly 20*-75*. I will miss all the snow and sunshine though!

I'm going back to my old job at the University of Michigan doing research, so it's not like I'm embarking on a whole new career - just reclaiming an old one (again). And yes, Maxie - there are a some jobs in Michigan, mostly skilled ones like research or nursing, though supposedly Ford is re-opening a plant in the Detroit area and converting it into making Focus Hybrids which will create about 3000 jobs for the area.

Hey Joe - when are we going to do dinner before I leave?

Good question, John txt me last night. How about eh beginning of next week? I forgot to talk with Asher last night. Would you like us to meet you guys up there since you always come down?

Whatever works Joe - text John :)

I'm going to be living with my parents for a couple of months until John moves back too - at that point we'll be looking for a place in Canton/Plymouth or Ypsi area. Someplace between Detroit and Ann Arbor near a highway

Emily,

We'll have to get together when you guys get back to this side. Hey Michigan has some skiing too. You can always go to the "bunny" hills that Boyne calls slopes.

What is John going to be doing over here? U of M Law?

Where are you going to be living? BTW, you will get your snow...

just not the sun :P

heh, we know the deal, we're both from Michigan :)

I grew up in the thumb and went to Western, Emily grew up in the Detroit area and went to Michigan. So after 23 some odd years, we've got the place figured out pretty well :)

It's funny that I tried to get back to Michigan for years and finally gave up, and as soon as I did we find ourselves moving back. Funny how that works.

...you guys should live in Detriot proper. Downtown maybe. I hear there is lots of cheap property available!

I want to go to Tony's I-75 truck stop in Birch Run. Saw it on the Food or Travel Channel last night. YUMMY!
