New Gig

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I have been MIA on the board lately. Lot's of changes recently. After almost four years with my present employer I have decided to resign. I have been offered a position with another firm as the Director of European Operations and a position as Captain on their private Boeing 767. I leave for initial at the end of the month and am very excited. Obviously I will have a long training and IOE period prior to be let loose on this massive thing, but I think it will be a great new challenge. I will also fly their Gulfstream V & 550. Our fleet comprises of a B767, (2) G550's, GV, Citation Encore, EC155 Helo, Bell 206 Helo, and a S96 Helo, with hopefully more aircraft coming online shortly. I am very excited for this opportunity and look forward in growing the European base as well as flying a "heavy".

Thanks Doug for all of your help in preparing me for 767 school and this site!

Congrats! That looks like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Give me a shout if you need somebody to drive that EC155... :p

Don't thank me man, you're the one who understood the system, kept his head up, paid it forward and didn't burn any bridges! :)

Congrats on the opportunity!

Enjoy producing that wake turbulence warning for the rest of us! ha!

Cool,
Any chance they will send you to Helicopter school too?

That would be awesome, IMO.

I doubt it. I'm not helo rated at all and that may cost quite a bit. Seems like not a bad gig though. Other than ensuring the EC155 based in London is crewed, I don't do much else with the helos. If I touch it, it may break. :)
