In other news, the first QF-16A drone is getting it's conversion at AMARC at KDMA. With the wrapup of the QF-4 / QRF-4 drone program, the F-16 early blocks are now becoming drones.

...and congrats to the graduates too. B-course was a long darn time ago for this jabroni.

Oh hai FNG's.......if only every Hornet RAG class made such a video.....they wouldn't even have to check in before we started making fun of them :)

I will say that they had more balls than me at the petting zoo........I was pretty sure there were rattlesnakes in the Hind and I bounced immediately, rather than take a group bromance video

I think the Navy/USMC has a different culture. Stuff like this, at any level, would be grounds for relentless hazing.

Or, maybe, they have no idea of the beating they're about to endure. Maybe some of the Zoomies can enlighten us.

As far a 16's & CAS: You're on borrowed time from the moment they check in. "Use em or lose em" was always my thinking because I was never guaranteed to get them back once they went to the tanker. And I did my best to use em up before they bingo'd. But, you're happy they're there when you got em.

Cool vid. Congrats to the grads. I saw my farm in the vid. (I live 1 house to the south of the Yogi Bear on 211th Ave, downwind leg to Aux. They fly directly over the house on the entry when crossing mid-field.)
 
Cool video, I miss living in the West Valley and hearing the Luke launches every day.
 
Never knew the leading edge devices dropped down for maneuvers like that. Cool video.

Good, MSU program is over, but I raped those funds!! (PPL Multi Add-on -> crew XC's at ATP -> CMEL -> CSEL)

I'm working on my CFI on my own self study program right now. I'm also enrolled at WVUIT in their Aviation Mgmt. program as part of the MSU teach out too.

How's ASU?
 
I will say that it is cool that, at least from what I have heard, they do their grad hop with live ordnance. Our grad hop was either being scared stupid behind the boat at night, or depending on timing, maybe the self escort strike which packed a whomping punch of 2 x BDU-45's/inert into the cactus west range.

That said, I had a good time slicking off 4xBLU-111's (Navy Mk-82) and some 20mm today out in Fallon, so I can't really complain.
 
I'm flying with two F-15 guys, I'll share the video.

And of course, it wasn't THEIR squadron.

/Shudder/ for real. I didn't really like being 10 miles off the coast of Vero Beach at night, pointed east! lol
 
Mike is one of the biggest light grey eagle haters I know. I think he is just mad that the jet with an "F" prefix he flew couldn't go upside down :)

Nothing worse than being low on fuel....and you are the tanker....and the last one up in the air ..... and it's at night ..... in the middle of the Pacific .... with a nugget pilot ..... pitching deck ..... oh, what is that red light?
