New Airplane

Well we had the 414 for a good two months, so it was time to upgrade again! We found a very nice 425 for sale in OK that used to belong to the state of Texas (it was Bush's plane when he was gov). It was just about to go into the paint shop, so we bought it and had it painted in our colors. Flying a turbine is great, there is no more clawing for 500fpm on a warm day with a load and the additional speed is great. Anyway, here are the photos.

It isn't the fanciest panel in the world, but it's ok

Here are a few other misc photos.

Decending into the MSP area, it was beautiful country, but the middle of no where!

The sign on the door of the FBO said "At Church, be back at 11", there wasn't another soul at the airport

Hey, it may not be pretty, but is the plane in your backyard nicer?

Excuse Me!!!!!! Middle of nowhere???? :banghead::sarcasm:

so what what brought you up this way? was that with your mom or dad? or commercial?

Anyhow, Great Pics once again.

Nice airplane and nice pictures! I got to make it down there one of these days...

Did you go to class at FSI again?

How many months you gonna own this one? lol Nice pics.

Are you able to fly it solo, or is the insurance making you have a babysitter for a while?

Congrads on the upgrade!!!!!!

You might be a redneck if you have to move the airplane to mow your yard!!!! That is great!

Thanks for all the comments.

We were picking up the owner after a "cruise" up the Mississippi Rivier.

I did my training in the airplane with a company call Star Aero in Millville, NJ. They do a much better job than Flight Saftey in my opinion. The will soon be able to do the initial in any airplane that doesn't require a type.

My boss told me to start looking for jets in January. I made an offer on a Saratoga this morning for a running around aircraft. Like I told Paul, I am doing my training in the airplane, so that all counts towards the 20 hours of dual the insurance company requries, they really didn't like putting a kid my age in a turbine.

Thanks,

Alex.

Awesome pics Alex. You should have let me know when you came over to OK! What part did you go to?

Hey what kind of camera and lense are you using? Great photos!

I think he has a Nikon D70 or D200 if I recall... with some sort of wide-angle lens. Looks like the cockpit shot was done at 10 to 18mm? Citationkid, your photos are always top notch.

Great Pics Alex. Congrats on the upgrade. What type of jet do you think you might look for?

We are looking at quite a few right now, ranging from the Hawker 700 to the Lear 55ER to a brand new CJ3.

A Canon 400D with Sigma 10-20 lens.
