Ok, I know that I don't get on here and post as much as I should or like to, but I do know that you guys and gals know what your talking about.

Here is were I currently stand, I'm graduating from MTSU in a couple of weeks and then I'm off to Omaha,NE to get some big wig for the Union Pacific railroad his private pilot certificate. I should first tell you that I'm looking into the corporate side of flying, but the airlines are not out of the question. My problem is what is going to occur after June or July or whenever I get him his ticket. I have several different options to consider.

I could stay around the Nashville area and flight instruct at MTSU while on the side I have the oppertunity to build some time in a Hawker 400 and possibly have a SIC or PIC prosition eventually.

Another option is that I could go back to eastern NC and teach at my old FBO and do ground instructing part-time at my old community college w/ the oppertunity to move into jets across the street at a charter company on the field once I reach 1200 hours or so.

Finally I have a few connections in the Dallas area which I know has more oppertunity for moving into jets than Nashville or Kinston, NC does. I would of course start out instructing then possibly move into some kind of jet from there.

I'm just not sure which way I should go w/this one, each have their good and bad sides to them or there could be other options out there that I'm not aware of, but it would mean a lot if you guys and gals could give me your opinion on this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hmmm...My brother-in-law has just been transfered to Omaha from St. Louis and is a "big wig" with Union Pacific. What's your student's name?

Personally, I think you should quit that flying crap, and move out to Vallejo, CA. My cousin Pookie can front you about kee, and you'll be straight in the dope game.

Come on, man....don't be no punk.....

Jobs are for woosies....

I've been finishing up my CFI-initial with an instructor who is being transferred by Union Pacific to Omaha from St. Louis. From what he says, the employees are not very happy about the move, but he has 25 years with the company, and needs to get to 30 to get the railroad pension.

His name is Jim Gallimore, he's been there for so time I believe, not sure if he came over from St. Louis though.

I forgot to add this in the orginal message, the flight time at all three areas are close. I know that Dallas and MTSU have more demand for pilots than Kinston, but w/my motivation and knowing the area I think I could get a fair amount of students their as well. Thanks again for the advise.

My cousin works for Union Pacific, he's a computer programmer. If you go to Omaha NE. You have to stop in at the Poop Deck and have a beer, kind of a unique little tavern. I beleive it is on the corner of 60th & Central.

I have driven by the Poop Deck many times. Its quite possibly the strangest name for a bar. Just out of curiosity, whats makes that place unique, does it have a boat theme of something?

I guess I should of said that the Poop Deck was unique to me. Everytime I go to Omaha I always go to the Poop Deck for a few beers, everybody that I have ever met there have always been really nice. For some reason I always associate the Poop Deck with Omaha,
