Ok, I know that I don't get on here and post as much as I should or like to, but I do know that you guys and gals know what your talking about.
Here is were I currently stand, I'm graduating from MTSU in a couple of weeks and then I'm off to Omaha,NE to get some big wig for the Union Pacific railroad his private pilot certificate. I should first tell you that I'm looking into the corporate side of flying, but the airlines are not out of the question. My problem is what is going to occur after June or July or whenever I get him his ticket. I have several different options to consider.
I could stay around the Nashville area and flight instruct at MTSU while on the side I have the oppertunity to build some time in a Hawker 400 and possibly have a SIC or PIC prosition eventually.
Another option is that I could go back to eastern NC and teach at my old FBO and do ground instructing part-time at my old community college w/ the oppertunity to move into jets across the street at a charter company on the field once I reach 1200 hours or so.
Finally I have a few connections in the Dallas area which I know has more oppertunity for moving into jets than Nashville or Kinston, NC does. I would of course start out instructing then possibly move into some kind of jet from there.
I'm just not sure which way I should go w/this one, each have their good and bad sides to them or there could be other options out there that I'm not aware of, but it would mean a lot if you guys and gals could give me your opinion on this.
Thanks in advance for your help.
