Need Safety Pilot

Hey JCers!

I own my own 172 in Boulder, Colorado. Any JCer's out there need to build some time? I am almost done my instrument rating, but need a little more simulated to get my 40 hrs. You fill er up at the pump and off we go! I can fly anytime, shoot me a pm. Would prefer instrument rated pilots that I could learn from but would love to fly with any safe, conservative pilots out there.

Cessna 172, 180hp, GX55 GPS, KX-55 nav coms, full IFR, ADF, DME

Also would will be willing to trade time for some instrument instruction (any CFII's out there?)

Oh I will be back in CO early next week (Jan 8th). I fly that 172 across the country quite a bit and am always looking for other people to split time with. I don't like to fly circles around colorado, I like to go on 500mi+XC. Anyone wanna fly from CT to CO next weekend or early next week (weather dependent)? Hit me up!

I have had thoughts of starting a flying club in CO with the plane. I would be able to but 5 pilots on my insurance without too much of a rate hike. I was thinking something like 30/month dues, 75/hr wet rental. This is just an idea and would really be worth unless I could get the plane flying quite a bit. Anybody interested?

Just a word of caution. From MY OWN interpertation of the FAR's having a passanger pay for all of the fuel is not considered the sharing of expenses and could be considered "for hire". As far as I know, splitting the cost of the gasoline, the cost of the oil used and the airport expenditures (like parking/landing fee...) equally is all that can be shared in a non-rental aircraft. That is all. (and remember, I could be wrong; this is just my interpertation of what I think I remember from reading the FAR's! After all, I don't even remember what year Columbus sailed across the ocean:insane: )
