Requirements:
Minimum Flight Hours: 750 TT 250 High Performace 25 Make & Model We may be able to help with make & model. Offering up to 400 hours per year. Irregular flight times. Mostly cross country returning to Nashville on the same day. Occational overnight. Most flights are regional within 400 radious. We will pay for training of our choosing. If you are close on time we can sometimes get exceptions. CFI would be a great plus.

Well, I know the last two pilots that flew for them. One of them didn't mind it so much, and the other did it until it drove him near crazy.

The aircraft is a piece of . . . well, it's not so great. As the pilot, you're also responsible for scheduling MX, arranging MX, test flight, etc. You're expected to do all of this out of the goodness of your heart.
The owners don't pay a salary. You get some crappy pay, based on your actually flight time. so, fly for 3 hours but work for 10? Well, thanks alot, here's your 3 hours of pay. NO overnight pay.

Here comes the best part. The owners routinely try to pressure you into flying when you don't feel that it's safe. Examples: The last pilot cancelled a trip because one vacuum pump was INOP, and the other one wasn't working properly. The owner tried the whole, "Oh, come on - a real pilot could fly that thing with one pump" . . .

The Landing Gear has been iffy for the last year or so. I last flew that airplane about a year ago. Not uncommon to get a gear light in cruise. The pump works sometimes, and other times it doesn't. Everyone that flies that plane knows that there are some tricks to get the pump going. It flew to MEM last week with the gear down the whole way, because the weather was crappy, and there's no need to add a gear problem to the equation.

A couple of months ago, it had a complete electrical failure. Well, one alternator was broken already, and the second one just decided to take a crap. Good thing it was VMC.

The AC doesn't work. The owner seems to think that getting that fixed is a waste.

To give you an idea, some of us at Wings of Eagles have named it the Flying Casket. A guy I know suggested that the owners should install handles on the sides of the plane, so that lowering it into the ground would be easier after the crash.

When the last pilot resigned, the owner said, "I don't understand, there are people willing to PAY to fly this airplane!!". 'Nuff said.

So, if you wanna build time, and you're feeling froggy? Go ahead!!:(

BTW - notice that they specifically ask for a "Time Builder", not a professional pilot?

Man I remember this post almost a year ago. I was foaming out the mouth to get the gig. Good thing I was a lil short on time back then. Thanking my lucky stars.
 
Yeah, I remember hearing about that thing a while back when some of our guys flew it. Doesn't sound too good.

On another note...I met a guy the other day who is flying a malibu part 91. 900hours TT and 45K a year mon-fri....I hate that guy.
