NBA Sports Charters (DL)

Got an airliners.net question for you DL/NWA guys. I noticed the Lakers are riding back home on a Delta 319 this morning from Boston. Do you guys have specific aircraft outfitted for charter, or are these just regular planes? Just curious. I can't imagine Gasol and Bynum sitting in a DL coach seat. I'm sure Princess Kobe is kickin back in 1st class because that's how KB is. I was always under the impression the Lakers used a Champion 727. On that note, does anyone know who Boston uses for charter?

Anyway....Celtics in 6!!! (and I live in LA).....Grand Theft Rondo and the Big 3 Baby!!!

The Celts have been known to use SunCountry, Miami Air, and maybe even North American? Not sure on NA though.

The Lakers have been using Northwest(now Delta) for a while now. They used to fly around in a 727, which was always a treat to see at SFO. The past few years they've been using an A319. Keep an eye out during the NBA season when you're in LAX and you'll probably see it sitting over by Imperial Hill where it parks.

It's a special 319(now mixed in with a regular pairing not a seperate charter like NWA). Champion hasn't existed for almost 3 years. They went the way of the Braniff and the Pan AM.
