A National Guard F-16 on a training mission fires into a New Jersey school.

nah ... you guys have it all backwards ... these days you get promoted for doing something like that.

This isn't the first time. We've had bombs dropped on the roads, fires start about once every 3 years, and the A-10's have had rounds land 10 miles away in Warren Grove. Love the sound of that Cannon. Sound's like god with flatulence.

More than likely, and I've seen this happen, the school wasn't targeted. Either he was on base in the pattern or in one of the turns in the gunnery pattern, and he accidently squeezed the trigger. Shouldn't happen, but can. I personally always went MA-safe following each pass, but that's just me. They don't teach that because it's negative training.

I'm guessing there's going to be an opening in the NJ Air Guard fighter wing, soon.

I think they were DC ANG planes using the Warren Grove Range.

Maybe he was having flashbacks of a school yard bully.
