Anyone from JC going to be attending?

Myself and a group of Students from the University of North Dakota will be going!

I went to the Miami Convention a couple of years and it was a blast!
 
I live in Honolulu.

Do you think it would be worthwhile for someone interested in ATC but who has not even been able to find a pubnat yet, let alone apply for one, to attend?

Not too sure myself, I actually work at the HCF (not as a controller or anything) but am curious about that as well. According to the schedule on the website, it doesn't look like they will be discussing about future hiring needs, or anything relating to becoming an air traffic controller. Looks like something for current controllers.
 
It's not going to be any sort of boost to employment, no. Management are the ones who make the hiring decisions -- and not many of them, at that -- and they aren't Union. If you're inclined to hear some talks on ATC topics, rub elbows with future coworkers, sure, go for it. But it's a meeting of professionals, not job seekers. You're not going to have much common ground with the people there.
