Someone is asking me what airport this is, but I cant identify. It was from a very long cross country flight we took back in January, so it would have been somewhere in CA, AZ or NV. Anyone recognize this place?

This thread could be kind of fun. Post pictures of obscure airports and see if anyone can figure out where they are. Challenge accepted.

:dunno: If this is someone's home airport, they'll probably recognize it. I know I would recognize my home airport.

Well, I guess that's logical. At last count (that I had) there were 5000 paved fields in this country with runways greater than 5000ft. I think that's what we are looking at here. Statistically, it looks like a needle in a haystack to me, but you've got 155 views, it's likely with 2-3 thousand views someone will recognize it.

I see someone else is bored today. Since I narrowed the scope from the 'entire country' down to CA, NV and AZ, that reduces the number of airports significantly from 5,000. And since the post has only been online for a few days, I would hardly jump to the 'needle in a haystack' conclusion quite that soon. But thanks for useful contribution to this thread.

Well I wouldn't take offense to my comment just yet. Maybe I could be of some help. I've got one of those flight info accounts and I could post it there. Host of new viewers, maybe they could tag it for you. Of course, by your leave.

Thats the bummer about the internet. The nuance of the communication gets lost so easily. I wasnt the slightest bit offended. Just making what would have been an insignificant wisecrack comment that would have probably got a snicker from both of us if we were talking face to face.

What is this flight info account that you speak of? Sounds interesting.

I need to come up with some kinda system of remembering which airports are which when I am taking pics on a long cross country. When I get back, and a few days later when I get around to uploading them to the computer, I can never remember.
