No flight time so far, he's probably going to try to get his private next summer.



Thanks for all the good wishes everyone, he's a sharp kid and will undoubtedly do well.

I'm proud of him but also a little anxious; having been through the process myself I know how things can go wrong...

I have a picture of my AOCS commissioning class and he & I looked at it the other day and I pointed out the two (out of about twenty pilot-types) that I know of that were killed flying Navy aircraft. It was a good opportunity for me to start the conversation about what makes a "good" aviator vs. a "dead" aviator...
