My first solo

Hey everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know that I had my first solo take offs and landings this morning. Wow, as you all probably know from your first experience,It was exciting but I was pretty nervracking. But after the first time around and knowing I really can land this thing,I felt fine. What a rush though.Yee-haa!

Awesome! I remember it was the weirdest feeling having the instructor step outta the airplane, very casually like he'd done it a million times before (well, I guess he had), and finding myself taxiing alone to the runway. That was the worst part, the taxi. I couldn't believe I was there all by myself. As soon as the plane started rolling on the runway, though, all was good and calm. It was totally natural.

Yes, it's very exciting! Congrats!

Congratulations. I'm right behind you, I'll be soloing within the next week or so. It all depends on the weather and how the lesson goes on Thursday, according to my instructor.

Congrats. Nothing like handling the beast on your own to build confidence. Generally, those are when you have your best landings, too. No one is around to watch you.

Congrats brother!!!! I remember my first solo vividly, I remember that 150 climbed so much better without my instructors 210 pounds. From what I was accustomed to, it felt like a 16

congrats to you and advance congrats to those with upcomming first solos!

For me, I wasn't that nervous until just after I lifted the wheels up on my first takeoff and realized I had to land the thing by myself of I would die!

I had managed to calm myself down by the time I got to the downwind though, and the rest of the experience was a rush. Great Job! It just gets better from here.

It's funny, my first solo I was so paranoid about doing something wrong, I was concentrating so hard on what I was doing, making sure I was doing everything right that it wasn't until I made my first turn in the pattern that I really realized I was alone ! I was a bit overdue for my solo, the wx hadn't been cooperating well in the days before, and on the expedited program I was on a couple days was a long time to have the wx be sour. So I actually was really comfortable by that point, but was still a little weirded out by the empty seat next to me!

Congrats on the solo man! What a great step!

congrats!!!! how much time did u have, i'm just curious b/c i'm slowly but shurely comming up on that moment.

Whew...I've got my solo coming up within the next few lessons also. I'm not nervous at this point (really looking foreward to going), but I am sure I will be nervous as the time approaches. Congrats to everyone who has recently soloed or is getting close!!
