Anyway, back to the original poster & question:

-There's a few flight attendants on jetcareers, however you'll find the vast majority of the population here are pilots. For TONS of flight attendant specific information, try www.flightattendants.org, www.corporateflyer.net, and www.flightinfo.com has a flight attendant section too. You are more than welcome here, but you'll find lots more information on those other sites.

-Please don't take offense to this, but from the few sentances you've written it seems you may need to improve on your English a bit. Of course, I'm going on the assumption here that you're seeking employement with a U.S. carrier. To be hired by any U.S. airline, you must speak very good English.

-You mention an online training course in the title. Those courses are a waste of time and money. Any airline that hires you will put you through their own training class. Paying someone money to "train" you for an airline job is a complete waste. If you're going to be a corporate flight attendant, that is different, and you will need to seek reputable training through a company such as Facts, Flight Safety, or Alteon. Peruse corporateflyer.net for more info on being a corporate F/A. DO NOT PAY for an online course. You're much better of spending your time getting face-to-face customer service experience. Work a customer service job, such as retail, or any job where you interact with people in a customer service capacity on a daily basis.

Due to the typical assinine homophobic nature of Scarebus's post I'm guessing that he wanted to know if the poster was a dude because in the F/A world a male flight attendant typically=gay! I could be wrong but thats my guess.

Yes, I admit I have had some crasy posts, but may I ask what that has to do with anything? Well, if he is a guy, he is OF a female--his mother--but does it really matter? I am not trying to be rude, and if you had a point, then I am sorry.

Anyway, I do not mean to be rude either, but given what MQ said, can I ask your national origin> Because I was just curious if you made a few grammatical errors--we all do--or may not speak English very well not ebing from here. If not, like MQ said, it may be hard to get onto an American airline. Maybe we could give you the name of some airlines in your native country where you would be more at home. Or you could study English, and work here. If you are transitioning from Spanish, it is very easy because there are plenty of ways here for Hispanics to learn English.

With him being from Yemen, I don't know what particular airline he would be seeking employement with. I am unfamilier with hiring practices from that part of the world. The link he gave was for an online course from the UK, I have no idea whether or not that online course will be beneficial for him in his situtaion.

Now, as for someone seeking employement with a U.S. airline, I can say with absolute certainty that an online course such as that would be of NO BENEFIT WHAT-SO-EVER. Claims that these programs will get you hired by a U.S. carrier are bunk, and they're just out to get your money. I'm sure the information they provide is good informatin, but it is information that is available in many flight attendant career guides. Go to your local library and read them for free. Paying for online flight attendant training is a waste or your time and money.

Every airline sends a new hire flight attendant through their own specific training class, they will teach you everything you need to know. In some cases taking such 'flight attendant training' courses can actually hinder your chances of getting hired, because the airline wants to train you THEIR way. They don't want you coming to training thinking you've taken a 'course', so you know everything already.

Not really, for some people it can serve as a preview of what they are going to be put through, while for others, it can teach them how to study. During those courses they can get the easy things out of the way such as learning airlines codes or learning GMT...

Some of the people going through Flight Attendant, it may their first introduction to aviation....

Are you trying to join a Foreign Airline or a US based airline?

Irrelevant in that airlines hire both men and women to be flight attendants. So, why ask if someone inquiring about the job is male or female? It doesn't matter.
