MMPI DQ Appeal

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever appeal to the Federal Air Surgeon in Washington D.C after they have been concluded to be unfit to be an ATC. To be more specific, I'm talking about "Anxiety Disorder" that the Regional Surgeon found through the MMPI testing.

If so, how long was the appeal and what was the final verdict by the Air Surgeon?

Although I don't have any personal experience with anxiety disorder or "failing" the MMPI, I seem to remember the RFSO allowing candidates to retake the test (at their own expense) if an "issue" arose. I am assuming for purposes of our discussion that you (or whomever) have no prior history of anxiety disorder.

I would direct this particular question to Dr. Forred, as he would be the definitive answer on this subject.

Good luck.
