I've been missing my daily JC fix for the last couple of months! Don't let anyone tell you that a CFI gig leaves lots of time for things like chatting with pilots online, eating dinner, or having a life . . . /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/insane.gif

So what, might you ask, has brought the wayward Photopilot out of the tall grass and back into the open? The answer resides in a post from a LONG while ago about how much I miss Michigan. After visiting my family last week, an opportunity presented itself and I'm now homeward bound!

I'll be leaving my beloved 141 school in Fresno and heading back to Michigan at the end of the month. Another 141 school and a full student schedule await in the old haunt. I'll look forward to meeting all of you fellow Michiganders who slink around these forums . . . /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bandit.gif

You're not instructing over at Western are you? Not too fimilar with any other 141 schools in the state.

Ice, you say? I'll take that over smog, smoke, and scorching heat! We're going to be back in time for fall color . . . I can't wait!

It will be nice to finally meet the infamous SkiBum and Herreshoff in person ( as well as the other MI folks). As much as I'd like to be back in da UP, Doug, I'm stuck being a troll for now. I will, indeed, be teaching at WMU. It's going to be very interesting going from the 141 school where I did all of my training and my initial instructing to another 141 school that has their own ways of getting things done. I'll just have to be flexible and willing to learn.

Hey, now! I was once one of those flair wearing Applebee's servers. Flair sucked, food was full of MSG and fat, and the upper management sucked, but man was it fun working with customers! I miss my five buttons.

I think I'll be in BTL, but I might jump back and forth for a while. We'll have to see. Either way, I'm now on a serious Popper craving and will count on dragging some of you together soon after we show up. I've yet to catch a JC gathering and will now have to bail on Vegas due to the move - I need to meet someone just so you all know I'm really a pilot.

Time for Olympics, budgeting with my wife, and dinner. Ciao!
