In case anyone's trying to get a hold of an HR rep or expecting an email, MMAC is closed today because of the ice/snow storm we've got. Better luck tomorrow!
If by "us" you mean academy students, obviously this message was not for you. Unless you have some reason to keep calling your HR rep. Or you just didn't read my post. Thanks for informing us at 9 in the morning :yup:
Yes you will still get your salary. You are in "unscheduled leave" status like the rest of us.I'm on evening shifts this week so I've had 2 days in a row cancelled. We still get our per diem of course but I doubt I'm getting my salary pay for these 2 days. We also were supposed to end on a thursday... now I fear for my life we will be stuck in Oklahoma longeranic:

This "snow day" is kinda weird! I knew at 4:00 pm yesterday that my daughter wouldn't have school and then today at 2:00 it was put on www.koco.com that school is cancelled tomorrow too. They have all sorts of places that are closed down (including many churches, work and child care places). Craziness! In Utah, you have 2 1/2 feet of snow that has fallen in 6 hours with black ice underneath it and you are expected to be at work and school. If they do decide to cancel, you are notified at 6:00 am the morning of and you would NEVER get 2 days in a row. Such a new experience.
Tomorrow morning I only have to wake up to my husbands alarms to go to work at the MMAC...unless they cancel like the public schools have.
hehe.. your username/avatar combo are awesome. (welfare)
If the schools closed in Utah for snow there wouldn't be school. But you have to remember, Salt Lake City has more snow fighting equipment than the whole state of Oklahoma.
Yeah, true. But just cause we have the equipment doesn't mean the roads are clear! They do a pretty good job of keeping main roads and highways clear but suburbs get left to the elements. I have done plenty of pushing (or towing with the car) people out of snow in my life time. Snow here has a different texture too. I miss Utah snow![]()
hey what building is the enroute training in? The RTF?I knew there had to be somewhere to check online for school conditions! Everyone looked at me weird when I asked that and said "just call the number". Sweetness!
