Missing Missoula Aircraft Spotted

Thats to bad, looks like they are not OK.

I fly to KMSO quite often, It has some nasty terrain around that area if your engine quits.

I know storms passed through the area a few days ago. Anyone know what the weather was like at the time of their trip? My family lives just south of Flathead lake, not far north of the National Bison Range. Its varied terrain but the eastern part is relatively treeless with plenty of places to set down.

I know its poor form to guess what happened but other news reports raise plenty of red flags about the pilots decision making skills.

A Federal Aviation Administration pilot database lists a Sonny J. Kless who is a convicted felon. A man by that name was sentenced for robbery in Wyoming in December 2003. According to Missoulian files, a man named Sonny Kless has registered as a violent offender three separate times since 2005 at three separate addresses in the Missoula area.

"Janelle Gentry of Kalispell, Kless' mother, said her son, the recent UM grad, had obtained his pilot's license about a year ago and had flown the Glacier-Flathead River loop several times. She confirmed that her son was the same Sonny Kless who served time for holding up an Elk Mountain, Wyo., gas station in 2003. Kless donned a ski mask and used a shotgun to rob the Conoco station, but later pleaded guilty, telling a judge, "We all make mistakes in life, but the biggest can be failing to take responsibility."

There were also eyewitness reports of a blue and white airplane skimming treetops at low level. Its tragic that three people trusted thier lives to this ass clown.

Good job FAA

It doesn't make it any more tragic, but the two women he took out with him were both gorgeous. Makes you wonder how they ended up catching a ride with a convicted felon.

Why does our society think that good looking women are some sort of super breed? Incapable of making poor decisions or getting with the wrong people. Just like how all you see are pictures of the red headed russian spy, its as if the media is saying "we can't believe a good looking girl could be a spy"

Just thinking out loud here.

I was completely stereotyping based on their appearance and jobs as journalists - that they wouldn't be the type to hang out with a former felon. But then I found out that the former felon had (apparently) turned his life around and had graduated college. I guess he was also a pretty big environmentalist. The other guy was a 1L in law school.

There are plenty of hot girls in the mug shots section of the paper too, but I based that more on their professional backgrounds.
