First time user here. Does anyone know anything about the Minnesota State University-Mankato aviation program? Any details would be helpful. Good? Bad?

It is not bad. I think the flight training is through North Star Aviation - and they have a decent fleet. Mankato seems like a party school and I had a few friends who went to school (for engineering) there.

Have you looked at St. Cloud State Uni up the road from there?

Cheers

Mankato, is not a party school at all. I know people who have transferred from there because the social life was not good apparently.

St. Cloud State is and UND definitely is.

My 2 cents :bandit:

Minnesota State University - Mankato.
They have 2 Diamond DA20-C1's, 3 Piper Warrior III's (2 with Avidyne) and 2 Piper Seminoles. They also have 2 AATD Redbird FMX.

The flight training is done through North Star Aviation.

There is a fairly even mix of partyers and non.

also you should consider this video.

if you are looking at flight training at a 4 year college in the area consider Brookings, SD. or Dubuque, IA.
