Minimum # of flight attendant per aircraft, 51-100 seats.

According to Sec. 121.391 - Flight attendants.

3) For airplanes having a seating capacity of more than 50 but less than 101 passengers -- two flight attendants.

How come CRJ-700 (70 seats) for American Eagle only have 1 flight attendant?

as listed here, 1 F/A on the CRJ-700: http://www.amrcorp.com/facts/fleet.htm

However, the Super ATR has 64 or 66 seats, and that has 2 flight attendants.

So do all CRJ-700s (American Eagle, Comair, ASA, etc.) have 2 attendants onboard?

That official publication is incorrect. AMR Eagle staffs its CRJ-700s with 2 FAs.

Probably an 'oops', someone thinking ALL Eagle RJs only have 1 FA. I dunno. Gee, someone at AMR not bothering to get their facts right! Ha!

Sorry, I'm not bitter...................really

Been there, done that!

I would have made a rotten flight attendant, because when I did my brief, I wanted all papers down and no one trying to speak over me. I took that stuff personal!

On flights for CommutAir the 1900's tape recorder sometimes breaks and they ahve to start reading from a piece of paper! HAHAHA. Wait a minute, that might be me in a few months! DOH!

At Skyway, it was like this:

"'Afternoon folks! This is Skyway flight 1234 with service to Grand Rapids. My name is Doug Taylor, your first officer and your captain's name is Biff Thomas. We're going to be flying at 19,000 feet over to Grand Rapids. For those of you in row X and Y, those are emergency exits. If you're not comfortable sitting there or don't meet the re...SIR, Umm, there's a quiz later so please don't try to speak over my brief please, thanks!... ahem, requirements of sitting there, lemme know and I'll get you another seat. For the lucky gentleman in 1A, this is how you open the forward door, just push the button and pull up on the handle, the door will drop by gravity".

I usually told 1A how to open the forward door after the accident in Muncie, IL or whereever it was that the King Air hit the 1900 and they couldn't get the door open.

Great Lakes at Quincy, Ill. Collision deformed the door and slacked the release cable, making it unable to be opened by the co-pilot inside. Also on the outside, a would-be rescuer was attempting to open the door by rotating the handle without pushing a button and couldn't get the door open. A Great Lakes captain outside attempted to open the door the correct way, but couldn't due to the structural damage.

My two B1900 flights were both with Mesa. The first one there were like four people on, and ALL of us were going to Farmington and were pilots. FO talked to us, found out we knew what we were doing, and sat down. Second flight was me and my best friend flying back to Orlando from Farmington (via ABQ). That time we were the only two pilots (other than the OBVIOUS two) out of 12 people. The FO was on IOE and you could TELL! Poor guy was nervous as hell and sweating all through his brief. Stuttered through about half of it and had trouble during the door demo. Right before t/o the captain pulls the two of us up there and says "If anything happens to us, it's up to you two to save everyone." I thought the poor kid (he looked about 19) in the left seat was gonna faint.
