Dont do it.. dont sell your soul and ours for the likes of these low paying carriers.. they need to come up to standard, especially in Mn.. these jobs have been posted for some time..

The alternative to not "doing it" is not getting any experience, and never having a chance to work at a bigger airline. Got to pay your dues somewhere. My first dispatch job paid less than $10/hour...of course, that was quite a while ago.

This would be a good position for people just getting out of school. They are also hiring dispatch supervisors, although you'd need experience for that.

Ah. Kind of like the Continental listing then...take the job now with the understanding you're moving to Chicago in 2012. I can't say I'd be wild about living in MEM, but the cost of living is probably lower than MSP.
