Make-or-break week for Mesaba's future

Oct. 13, 2005: Mesaba Airlines files for bankruptcy protection.

December 2005: Mesaba asks its labor unions for concessions.

Today: Mesaba asks U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Gregory Kishel for permission to void its labor contracts with pilots, flight attendants and mechanics.

Friday: If Kishel grants Mesaba's motion, the airline will seek an injunction to block a labor strike.

Sunday: If no deals are reached at the bargaining table, Mesaba intends to impose lower pay rates and new work rules on its unions.
