CVG? I didn't think they had one there. DTW and MSP for sure. Didn't MEM used to be a base... I think it's all Pinnacle now.

For some reason I thought they were crewing some of the Bacjets there in CVG.

But you know how the 'heard from a guy who heard from a guy that overheard a guy" thing works.

Perhaps!

Despite my involvement with JC, my knowledge (and usually my interest) of all things airline is left in my flight kit at work!

Time for the blonde question of the day...where is CVG? I know John has had to go up to Minneapolis and Detroit for training.

Only according to the marketing people at CVG is "Cincinnati Very Good" ... I tend to think of it more as Cinci-nasty myself. But, it is my late option to get home from work so I spend a lot of time there.

I believe Mesaba has bases on the Saab and Avro in DTW, MEM, and MSP. They used to have a Avro base in CVG, whether they still do or not I don't know. Pinnacle has CRJ bases in DTW, MEM, and MSP.

CVG is certainly 'cinci-nasty' to me. I like to think of the airport as "Microlanta" because whenever you attempt to order food from any of the concessions there, it's like they're doing you a fantastic favor by preparing your order.

And what's up with the chili? Gold Star SO doesn't deserve all of that counter space!

I think they still do have the Avro base in CVG, unless things have changed very recently. I know a guy who's based there--if I remember correctly, he said they do the maintenence on the Avro there.

Yeah no doubt - what's up with the Cincinnati bashing??

.....where tartar sauce goes on hamburgers(Big Boy) and chili goes on spaghetti - the way God intended it.

PS - I'm in Memphis for a few months - can someone pleeeeease send me a couple cans of Skyline?

I never had Skyline, but please tell me it's better than Gold Star!

Ahhh the 50 year old question - which one is better! Skyline is the original and by far the best in my opinion. A true Cincinnati-ian can taste the difference between the two - most outsiders can't so you probably wouldn't like Skyline either. It's definatley a regional 'aquired taste'.

Chili is from Texas...........putting some cheese in it doesn't qualify it as "real"!

Actually one of my favorite restuarants is in MKE - The Packing House - right across form Signature if I remember correctly.
