Mesa Pilot Development Program Terminated
San Juan College received notification from Mickey Moman, general manager of Mesa Pilot Development, Inc., that they are withdrawing their support from the Mesa Pilot Development Program, effective May 4, 2010. No new classes will be scheduled in the spring semester.
"It is with deep regret that Mesa issues notice of its intent to terminate the agreement regarding programs at San Juan College," Moman states. "Unfortunately given the current operating environment and the challenges facing the company, it can no longer sustain its training program at San Juan College."
Mesa's roots stem from Farmington, and San Juan College has graduated hundreds of Mesa Pilots over the years.
"We are currently working on a transition plan so that students can complete their pilot training education," says Dr. Carol Spencer, San Juan College president.
