It would be interesting to see the progress of the JC crew. Post about whatever you are currently doing in life.

I'm a sophmore at Monarch High School in Coconut Creek, FL and will be moving to Boca Raton in about 2 weeks. I have flown with a few pilot friends but never with a CFI. I'm waiting until I move to Boca Raton so I can start flight lessons at BCT. I plan to keep on taking flight lessons at BCT until I'm a CFI or until I get a job or go off to college.

Heres my update:

Still averaging 1 lesson/ 2 weeks. Though I am starting to log my first hours PIC, hope to have my PPL by christmas time. umm what else.... still broke. Plowing through my senior year of HS and waiting till football season is over so I can get my unemployed a$$ a job, and trying to figure out who is going to be stealing my $$ for the next 4 years (ie. what college I am going to go to) Also trying to hook up and internship for this spring/summer/fall I hear Jet Blue has one that is only open to HS students so I gotta look into that one. Thats bout it.

I'm a sophmore in high school, in Pittsburgh. Just logged my 10th hour today (10.5 to be exact), am flying the DA-20 C1 Eclipse and lovin every minute of it! By the end of high school, I would like to have at least commercial done, with some multi, and CFI during college. Hopefully one day I can fly either for the airlines, cargo, or corporate (I envied FalconCapt's job--i know a falcon 900 captain around here and he showed me the flight deck...im hooked!). I hope to have a backup in something like Pharmecueticals, so if flying had to be put on hold or I need a side job while flying, the option is available to me.

Old Guy joining the HSers...

I'm 31, Been in the Navy 12 years. I'm an instructor at Naval Nuclear Power School... but now on to the important stuff...

I've been flying since 1997. I have my Comm/CFI and have about 470 hours to date. I average giving about 2-3 lessons a week and have started flying skydivers to have some more fun.

Plans are to get out of the navy, and if my wife has finally made it to be my Sugar Momma, I'll go fly full time. Otherwise I'll keep the nose to the grind stone and get a good paying civilian job and keep flying on the side for fun and extra cash!

I'm in my last year at MTSU!! I've been working at Wings of Eagles for about a month now, and it's great! I'm booking about 10-15 lessons per week, going to school three days a week, eating on the go and loving it more than I've ever loved anything!!

I have my ERJ initial checkride [tonight] at 9pm. Then LOFT [tomorrow] night at 9pm. Then I'm going to try and jumpseat my broke ass out to Vegas to celebrate what hopefully will turn out to be a successful end to training. Then, I gotta jumpseat my ass back to Houston and out to Midland, TX to go do some touch and goes in the jet. Then I gotta get home, repack, and probably head who-knows-where to start OE. In between all that I need to get up to MKE and do something nice for my girlfriend who has put up with a lot in the past two months while I've been in training! She's been uber cool about it all.

It will nice to get paid again.

edit: Just realized it's 3am. Edited tonight/tomorrow. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Junior at UND working my way through the aviation management program here. I've got all of my flight courses through commercial completed with about 175 TT, although I still don't have any ratings to prove it (thanks UND!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif ). Will be doing my multi training this summer which will hopefully conclude with me finally getting my multi, commercial, and instrument ratings. Hopefully graduate next summer then it will be back to Ohio for law school.

I just finished my initial CFI and will be attending the five-day ATP program at LAL to finish my II & MEI ratings next week (Sept. 27-Oct. 1).

I have been hired at my FBO to instruct and have so far logged 3.8 hours dual given.

My last day at this God-forsaken law firm and in this God-forsaken profession ... is Friday!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I may pick up temp jobs here and there if the situation warrants until my wife goes back to work after our son is born (due date = Dec. 17th).

That's my update.

Back to you, Bob.

I'm finishing up my last semester here at University of Michigan set to graduate Dec. 19 (right after R2F2 makes his apperance). After that I'm going to be working at the hospital doing clinical research while continuing to live in my expensive apartment until the end of next summer where i'll move into a cheap place. I continue to date John Herreshoff and we just passed 2 years in august. Today is my mom's birthday and I'm going home to get a nice steak dinner /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm a winner!

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif One of my wife's co-workers believes herself to be psychic (she's crazy) and said that our son will be born on December 2nd. I'll plug `er up and make `er wait for the 4th for ya, though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey I was born a couple weeks early too, so I'll bank on that happening.

And to add to this post.......it is actually a good post BJ

I was hired at UND as a flight instructor in the beginning of August. My first flight (and first dual given) was at the start of the semester, which was August 26 and it has been going great ever since. It is weird sitting in the right teaching someone else, and I've only had the sh*t scared out of me twice so far!

Now I have around 35 hours dual given and I'm aiming for 250 by Jan. 15th. It probably won't happen, but I need goals.

That would be sweat. Only thing bad about it, it is in Midland.

I was there once and I don't plan on going back. I want to say I am sorry in advance to FlyChicaga if you ever overnight in Midland/Odessa. Oh, and I'd MUCH rather live in ND than West Texas.

Isn't our president from there? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

currently a senior at ERAU. have about 240 tt with CFII hopen that riddle hires again this semester. Maybe i get my MEI this fall. and will be graduating in the spring at which time citiback will own me.

I'm a mid-life career changer (hopefully) been working in a darkened old computer data center for too long. I want out of this 'cubicle' work so bad. The one good thing is the broing cube life pays well enough to let me fly right now sooo, we'' see how long I can take it. I am prepping for my Instrument checkride. I just have to finsih up my stage four check and then it is time to finish this thing up. Too many delays, for too many reasons. Get 'er Done. That and I have this Vegas network thingy this weekend.

JEP, hang in there, buddy! I'm a mid-lifer too. My last day in the legal field after 11+ years is Friday. I cannot tell you how good it is going to feel to actually be doing something I love.

Best of luck!

We'll tip one back for you in Vegas. A big toast to all the new hires at JC. Rock on and enjoy those controlled crash landings with the student pilots. Maybe you get some instrument students off teh bat. My current CFII says he loves the IR students because he really doesn't have to fly the plane.
