Medical renewal with MIP

Hello, I'm scheduled to go in for a medical on Monday next week. From reading other posts I understand the issuance of the medical will be an issue because I plan on reporting an MIP I got four years ago. I had not reported it because my last medical was five years ago. The issue arises out of the fact that I'm planning on scheduling my CFI check ride the week after that. So my question is will I be able to still use use my current 3rd class medical during the check ride or will I have to surrender that?

Will do, thank you. The funny think is that I did not even taste alcohol until I was 21, but a stupid stunt put me at the wrong place at the wrong time with a bottle of rum in my possesion. We all make mistakes I guess.
