Maximum starting age ATC

Everyone is correct, you have to be hired by your 31st b-day. I am not 100% sure what they considered hired though. I assumed it meant you had to be sworn in as a govt employee by the time you turned 31. However, I started the academy last week & there is one person in my class who was already 31 when we started. So, maybe you just have to have your FOL by your b-day.

You have to have received and accepted a tentative offer by your 31st birthday. I squeaked in with barely a week to spare.

Actually...the "hired by 31" only applies to federal employment. You can work contract air traffic control if you are 100 years old, as long as you can obtain or keep a class II physical.

you guys are all wrong. the maximum hiring age for ATC is 36. The DOD has an age limit of 36.

The contract tower program does NOT have a maximum age. So guess what? You guys were assuming the OP meant the maximum FAA age...why would u assume?
