The Manager of Aircraft Dispatch is responsible overseeing the day to day flight dispatching and logistics of the airline relating to aircraft, security, personnel and costs. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of all FAR Part 121 aircraft dispatch requirements. Good communication skills are required, and the successful candidate must be able to exhibit the values and culture of the company while working with flight crews in a fast paced/dynamic environment.</p> <p>C. &nbsp; &nbsp;Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>The duties of the Manager of Aircraft Dispatcher are as follows:</p> <ul> <li>The Manager of Aircraft Dispatch must be highly knowledgeable of FAA Regulations, the Company&rsquo;s GOM, SOCM, OpSpecs, and other materials pertinent to the duties;</li> <li>Must be highly knowledgeable in-flight dispatching, logistic support and must be able to make time-dependent logistical decisions relating to the safety of flight, security, personnel, and costs;</li> <li>Exercises sound-good judgement at all times to ensure least amount of risk to the airlines daily dispatch operations while making common sense decisions that help to ensure good productivity and efficiency;</li> <li>Oversees aircraft dispatchers to ensure that flight operations are conducted in a professional manner and in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, Company&rsquo;s GOM, SOCM, and OpSpecs;</li> <li>Puts policies and procedures in place, and makes recommendations to higher level management that helps ensure the safety of passengers and aircraft;</li> <li>Manages aircraft dispatchers to ensure that flights are released in accordance with appropriate regulations and policies at all times in accordance with 14 CFR FAR Part 121 Domestic and Flag regulations;</li> <li>Facilitates communication between dispatch team and others such as for scheduled and non-scheduled aircraft maintenance with the Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Control, or designee;</li> <li>Generates reports and responsible for the dispatch department records to ensure accurate reporting, currency, accounting, and retention as required;</li> <li>Ensures that all aircraft dispatchers remain current in their qualifications by coordinating all recurrent training and ensures all new hires are properly training and qualified before beginning their duties;</li> <li>Works with outside vendors at the direction of higher-level management to ensure systems remain reliable and identifies areas for improvement relating to systems or resources;</li> <li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director of SOC;</li> </ul>
