The Manager - Dispatch is responsible for all flight control activities and ensures that flight operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements; he leads the Dispatch function and employees. This position reports to the Senior Director of System Operations Control and is a member of the Flight Operations Senior Staff Council. For matters relating to Operational Control, the position has reporting responsibility to the Vice President of Flight Operations/Director of Flight Operations and liaises with the Operations Chief Pilot concerning day-to-day flight operations.

This position reports to the Senior Director of System Operations Control and is a member of the Flight Operations Senior Staff Council. For matters relating to Operational Control, the position has reporting responsibility to the Vice President of Flight Operations/Director of Flight Operations and liaises with the Operations Chief Pilot concerning day-to-day flight operations.
- Leads the Dispatch group and responsible for the selection, training and qualification of Dispatch personnel. Conducts ongoing analysis of dispatch methods and procedures and develops improved standards and procedures to promote safety and increase efficiency.
- Monitors dispatcher performance to ensure that each dispatcher maintains a high level of proficiency at all times.
- Maintains a Dispatch Center that meets HA operations and operational control of all scheduled flights.
- Coordinates as necessary with the U. S. Weather Bureau to ensure a timely flow of current weather information to the Dispatch Office.
- Responsible for the quality and reliable distribution of aeronautical data, to include flight plans, Aeronautical Information Publications (AIP), NOTAMS, hazardous weather, and weather forecasts.
- Ensures timely coordination among the SOCC, Maintenance,
- Crew Scheduling and Dispatch Office to accomplish efficient utilization of flight crews and aircraft during the flight delays or equipment substitutions.
- Submits recommended budget requirements for Dispatch Office to the Senior Director of System Operations Control. Managing expenditures against approved budget.
- Maintains liaison with FAA Air Traffic Control agencies and with ARINC, and coordinates as necessary to ensure proper support.
- Actively participates in DOD audits and briefings in addition to CRAF activations, if necessary, with appropriate security clearance issued by DOD
- Member of various emergency response and regulatory teams.
