Ok, this is a weird one, but, posting it anyway, can't wait to see what the real story is...

Manhattan Resident Suing Low-Cost Airline, Claims He Spent Part Of San Diego To NYC Flight In Restroom

Told Flight Attendant's Jump Seat Was Uncomfortable
NEW YORK (CBS/AP) ― A New York City man is suing JetBlue Airways Corp. for more than $2 million because he says a pilot made him give up his seat to a flight attendant and sit on the toilet for more than three hours on a flight from California.

Gokhan Mutlu, of Manhattan's Inwood section, says in court papers the pilot told him to "go 'hang out' in the bathroom" about 90 minutes into the San Diego to New York flight because the flight attendant complained that the "jump seat" she was assigned was uncomfortable, the lawsuit said.

Mutlu was traveling on a a "buddy pass," a standby travel voucher that JetBlue employees give to friends, from New York to San Diego on Feb. 16, and returned to New York on Feb. 23, the lawsuit said.

Initially, Mutlu was told a flight attendant had taken the last seat on the plane, but then he was advised she would sit in the employee "jump seat," meaning he could have the last seat, the lawsuit said.

LoL WTF?! The toilet? Hahaha.... If this is the truth he will win this lawsuit. Maybe not 2mil but he will still get something. I would also suspect the captain would get into trouble for having someone in the lav for the flight. I wonder if they marked the lav inop while he was "hanging out back there"? LoL, man ish gets funnier and funnier...

Someone failed Non-revving 101. Can you imagine how the guy who gave away the buddy pass must be feeling?

Not unexpected performance for B6 pilots. These are the same guys who flew illegal transcon turns with passengers aboard for a "sleep study." Unfortunately, they didn't clear it with the FAA.

Personally, I believe this story about as much as I believe the guy who claimed that AA F/As "refused" his family member oxygen, and said all the O2 bottles on the plane didn't work......

Again, there's a whole lot more to this story that I'm sure we're not hearing.

I highly doubt any pilot would move a revenue passenger because an employee is "uncomfortable". if she was sick, well that *might* be different...but doubtful.

this guys gonna have to prove a lot!

I don't know what the guys problem is. Got his own personal suite on the airplane, some free blue dye in case he didn't like the color of his shoes, a private sink, and hundreds of free towels for a sweaty brow. Does JetBlue have satellite tv in the lav?

:yeahthat::yeahthat:

Btw, why is Jetblue reffered to as B6? At first I had no idea, but I eventually caught on!

haha come on man. we all hate B6 and all, but there has to be another story to this... I doubt any man in his right mind would do that. lol

plus, that guy is turkish. just a tidbit (not that it matters) lol

I would have to agree.

This one is WAY out in left field, and I believe that in the end the truth wil be far lass amusing and spectacular.

Is a guy on a buddy pass considered revenue pax? Seems like it was a battle against a non-rev buddy and a non-rev/deadhead employee. Still, asked to hang in the restroom is pretty weird. Like amber said, prolly a bit more to this story than is being told.

I think what happened was the dude bitched about the seat that he was assigned, and the pilot said 'well dude, if you don't like it, you can go sit in the bathroom' guy thought of this as a golden moment, took it to heart, sat in the bathroom, and then later wanted to sue saying he was forced to sit there.

Now that I could easily see being the case.

It's unreal, a person gets a buddy pass to fly, on top of that, he sues to get more money!

People suck.:banghead:

Actually as I understand it, B6 cleared those transcon flights with the regional FAA office that supervises them. Problem is that was not the proper level needed for the approval. I think that is why they did not get in any trouble....the FAA was at fault too by clearing it at the regional level instead of elevating it. Still stupid if you ask me. As far as this story goes, I have to raise the BS flag. Nobody can be that stupid to make a passenger sit on a toilet.

sorry, reading comprehension problem on my part... missed the buddy pass portion. whoever gave one to that guy probably lost ALL his priviledges.

buddy pass riders are definitely not revenue.
