Some shots from the show. The artsy close ups are with my 50mm fixed ... the distance shots are with a 50-200mm. The latter lens has some issues beyond 150mm as you can tell in some of the grainy in flight shots. For what I paid for it, though, I'm still pretty happy with it.

Also discovered that my camera has an issue with brightness. My pictures just turn out very dull - pretty much all the time (worse with the 50-200). I discovered Office Picture Manager's "autobrightness" function and that helped a lot with these.

Yeah, that really sucks. I'm glad I went yesterday - I didn't even realize it was supposed to rain today.

I went on Saturday. Perfect day for flying! I now have a bad sunburn all over my face and neck but it was fun. Lots of static displays although did anyone else think that there wasn't that many aerial performances as other airshows?

I thought that too - thought it was interesting there were no high Extras or the other typical stunt planes. The Decathlon was great, though. The C-17 demo was short - maybe to make up time when they had to switch out F-15s

I almost went today, but I was in Orlando last night. I figured the traffic would have been pretty bad. What did they charge for this air show?

It's free, but you're right, the traffic is horrible. I got there right when the gates opened yesterday, but others had to wait 1-2 hours to get through security. I left 20-minutes into the Blue Angels show to beat the traffic - if not, you just get stuck there for another hour or so.

We woke up at 4am on Sunday to drive from Vero. Very frustrating as it was more or less rained off. Was my first real airshow as well.

Awesome pics! How was traffic? I was thinking about going Saturday but last time I stood in traffic for three hours and didn't even get in.

I got there right as the gates opened, so it was easy for me. I left about 15 minutes after the Angels took off. I was able to get out of the lot and stopped on the side of the road before I left base. I watched the rest of the show from there.

It's kinda sad that most people leave during the final performance - but at the same time, I've been stuck for 1.5 hours trying to get off base before and it blows.

Security line took me like 2-minutes to get through. At one point I heard it was taking 1.5 hours just to get through it. I hate to say it, but they really should start charging to keep the crowds in check. There are plenty of places to see it for free nearby.

Sorry to hear that - yeah that was a nasty day of weather. The Thunderbirds will be at Sun n' Fun, though.
