Be careful with Lynx. On the 'other' board, some in the Frontier Pilot Union see it as a GOJet.

I don't really read the boards over there anymore, just login to check my PM's. Do you know the reasoning behind considering them another "gojet"? Just curious. It would seem to me they would be like PDT/PSA is to US Air.

I was a tad surprised to, but read something a few months ago this was posted by what appears to be a F9 guy...

"I don't know the answer to your questions, however, it was recently stated from a company rep that they do not have an operating certificate. I again do not know if this is true, but if they are starting from scratch today, it will be a while before things get started. Additionally, if they are lying and they actually do have a certificate ready to go, expect the pay to be brutally low. The pres of the company has gone out of his way a number of times to cleary emphasize that this will be a "small, regional" airline with pay and benefits of a small, start up. Who knows if they are playing games or serious about this venture. The only thing I know for sure is the pilot group as a whole is pissed, and everything possible will be done to keep this in house. The union has already authorized an emergency legal fund to pay for the impending lawsuit. Hopefully, for everyone in involved, this will get settled outside of the courts."

This was posted in September.

The Frontier Pilots have their own union. Looks like they are concerned that without a scope clause what can it lead to? Maybe not to the extent of a GOJET (bad use of words) but it doesn't look to be warm and fuzzy to the Frontier guys already there. Who knows for sure though. I am sure someone on here knows a F9 guy on here that can shed some light on it.

No, crashpad is known for spouting off about things he really doesn't know about (ie rumor spreader). He is current frontier though.

First of wheels, thanks for posting these job listings!

Even though I HATE doing this (I don't want any jetcareers.com peeps to get screwed here) take a look at this thread post 35, its on the third page.

http://forums.flightinfo.com/showthread.php?t=85540

Then read the rest of the posts.

I would be pretty darn careful going to Lynx.

wheelsup,

where did you get this listing? actually I am just curious to find out more info about Lynx. I plan on applying and seeing what happens, if it doesnt look like it will be something like gojets or freedom, then i will just walk away. but if it turns out to be legit, I think it would be a great opportunity.

Blee,

I think he gets the list from ERAU. Be VERY VERY VERY VERY careful about Lynx! What might look like a great opportunity might make it difficult to get a ride to work!

It's all speculation until it's actually out there in black and white print.

I've spoken to F9 pilots on the van that are on both sides of the issue.
