I guess they thinks its a tough group to join. Easy to join just tough to on PFT's...

My guess is that the people who check out the forums anonymously could either be regulars who never post, but enjoy reading them, I was like that for a few months.

And, reading this board from an outsider's perspective, it can be a very intimidating one. It can be very detailed and seemingly untouchable except for those in the know. Now I've been on this site for over six months now, and it's clear to me what kind of broad range of people that are on this board, but to some one just checking out the site, yea some topics seem interesting to read but others seem like only the advanced and knowledgeable can make a positive contribution and I think that is the reason that people aren't registering yet sitll reading the boards.
I love coming on the board at 5am EST and seeing 18 people reading the messages.

Doug clearly you're doing something right, keep it up, let me know when you're opening the JC New York Office, I need a job.

I think you're exactly right. With that, I honestly only real a few posts out of the forums that I'm interested in. If I see something about loans come up, I'm reading like a mofo. Same with ATP, Ari-Ben and stuff about being a CFI. But most of this stuff I largely ignore because I'm not really too focused on it. I find that by doing that it allows me to get some usefull stuff out of the forum's and I don't spend my ENTIRE day reading this stuff. Would you believe that I even ignore most the crap in the lav? I only keep up on a few threads.

Cheers

I know that often times, if I am not on my own computer when I check the site out I don't log in unless I want to post or check my PMs. It is two more pages to have to sit through and while that doesn't sound like a lot, there really isn't any reason to do it... or that is my exuse at least.

Right about now I have to ask myself, "who cares how many people are lurking?" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif
