Hey guys-

I am trying to find a lunch box that will "plug" into the "clips" on my Purdy Neat roller bag...

Anyone know of one of these?

Thanks

Jeff

I'm not sure but i tell ya what. If you go down to ATL airport...walk through any of the terminals and ask the pilots there. I've never seen so many pilots with lunchboxes as i didn in ATL. It didnt help i was in the regional area, but i even saw airtran pilots and some Delta pilots with them too. Guess atlanta food is really bad! :P

You've probably seen all of these. It seems the most of the insulated lunch bags slide over the handle and don't clip onto the top of the bag. I'd get one but that's where my laptop goes.

Yup.. Seen those.. :)

I am carrying my laptop in my roller bag this trip to see how feasible it is...

No, they were lunchboxes. I'm not lying. I know what a flight bag, their suitcase, and any other bag may look like. I saw lunchboxes. Legit lunchboxes.

I even saw one of the FO's at some regional in the food court eating some crackers and cheese out of his box.

Well you know what, i take bag the word...it was a lunchbag. Like the cloth ones that are just big enough to fit a sandwich and juice.

You never know. They may be handing out cheese and crackers along with the other stuff out in New Mexico.

But yeah, they sound like lunch bags to me. Airport food starts to suck after a while. Not to mention it costs a lot.

That one is kinda the de facto standard. I have one, not because food is expensive (which is is) or I don't make much (which I don't), but more because sometimes, with a fast paced schedule, you just don't have the time to get off the jet to find something to eat. I pack mine with stuff to make tortilla wraps (ham, pepperoni, cheese, tortillas), some yogurt, grapes, carrot sticks, and so on. I also put some PowerBar Harvest bars in the top pocket. That way, if I have a long flight and/or a short ground time, I can still have something.

Keeping it all cool is relatively easy. I use an ice pack like you would use if you hit your head on something....

Fill that sucker with ice and keep it full each morning and you are good to go. Of course it helps when you get the occasional room with the mini fridge. :)

Yup... but I go low-rent/low-tech and use ziplocs.

I bought the Travelpro lunch box. They had 3 luggageworks/purdy neat lunchbags at the crew store, and two of them had busted zippers. I knew that was a sign to stay away from those.

I would think over time the ziplocs would get more expensive? One time cost of what 5 bucks? Versus a new box of bags (not to mention the trash/waste created). Not knocking you, just offering a better solution perhaps. :)

EDIT alert EDIT alert EDIT alert!!!!
