Lost laptop

Just got to my hotel and realized I made the ultimate bonehead move. I left my laptop on the plane under the seat in front of me. I was on Delta flight 2263 DTW-SEA.

I've already connected to another airport, did the Delta lost and found online form. Anyone have any luck getting they're stuff back they left on plane?

FWIW its a 5 year old cheap HP laptop, really not worth a lot to anyone but me.

Words of wisdom/hope anyone?

It's hard to tell, if the next passenger found it they may have turned it in. Or the cleaning crew may have found it on the turn. Hope you hear something!
FWIW I left my ray bans on a plane and was fortunate enough to have an honest passenger turn them in. There are still good people out there, and boy I don't know how I'd survive without those bad boys.

I ALMOST got an iPad back left in the seat pocket. My advice is to keep on the phone calls to the people on the ground. Forget about corporate, keep in touch with the guy or gal at the airport in charge of lost stuff during any given shift and make sure the message gets passed to the next shift.

A friend's grown daughter left her stuffed animal (I know - huh!?) on a commercial flight one month before and called to ask for my help.

Mother: "You're a pilot - don't you all know each other?"
Me: "Um...no. Have you called the airline?"
Mother: "Yes, but they're not looking for it. I thought you'd know the pilot and he could go check the plane for me."
Me: "Check the plane? This was a month ago. It was "checked" when they cleaned it that night."
Mother: "I know that they don't clean them any more like they're supposed to. I think it's still on board. Could the pilot go look?"
Me: "Where's that bottle of Maker's Mark. Oh crap - did I say that out loud?"

Actually I think you will probably get it back with no problem.

I left an old laptop on board a jetBlue flight, long before I flew for them. I was also panicked that it would not show. Contacted passenger services with a description, they contacted me a few days later. When I went to pick it up the lost and found looked like a Best Buy. Laptop, iPads, e readers, headsets, you name it and it was there.

An operation like Delta, they are going to have people that do the right thing cleaning their aircraft.
Give it a couple of days, I think you'll be fine.

Thanks I appreciate it, makes me feel better. I'm also following up with the Seatac Port Authority, but you actually have to wait a day after losing it to follow up.

Just trying to cover all the bases.
