Have you put in with Virgin America at all?

VF Corp is looking for a Co-Pilot in Oakland. https://vfc.taleo.net/careersection/vfcexternal/jobdetail.ftl?job=R-20150914-0137

There's always WestAir which might be a good fit if you're trying to raise a kid as I've heard some of their routes were extremely laid back, but you're quite overqualified and should have no problem finding something better. www.Westair.net

They almost always want an A&P, however California Fish and Game hires pilots now and then.

I'll let you know if I hear of anything. It may be worth dropping off a resume at CTP aviation at HWD. They are busy and adding aircraft. Most everything requires at type in the SF Bay. Every open position I can think of requires at type and 500 hrs in type but no one wants to move to the Bay because of the cost. So I think this will change.

Thanks for the leads, gents. I'm primarily looking for jobs like Surf Air and West Air where you are home more often. I was offered a job at WA, but declined. Though I'm open to the right job with QoL and pay.

I applied at Surf Air as well, but it has been crickets. The Ziprecruiter application status shows my resume was viewed by a hiring manager 5 to 6 weeks after I applied. I'm pretty sure you need an internal rec to get an interview. Though, some folks at APC forums say they were hired without a rec. I recently read they plan to take delivery of another 10-12 aircraft. I guess all you can do is keep updating your resume.

I'll check out CTP Aviation. I'm looking at their website, but don't see anything regarding employment. The only contact info is an 877 number for charter inquiries. Who's the preferred contact?

Yeah the Bay Area is a tough market when it comes to pilot jobs, at least in the 91/135 world. Not as many jobs available, but when there are listings, it's "G550 PIC".... "Falcon 7X Captain".... Like you said, maybe this will change soon as employers realize they will have trouble recruiting.

They are across the taxiway at the HWD hangars from me. I think at some level it pays to do some pavement pounding and just walk around and meet some people. I can work on getting you a contact. I have spoken with the CP at that operator before and they were looking for a CL30 pilot (typed of course) not too long ago. If I knew of any Premier operators I would direct you that way but I can't really think of any. Tom is the manager at APP (the HWD FBO) he is a nice guy and it may be worth having a visit.

Kaiser Air (OAK) has had an FO listing for about 6 weeks (maybe longer). The same listing at jsfirm that includes the salary (http://www.jsfirm.com/Job/Pilot-Fixed+Wing/First+Officer/Oakland-California/jobID_267189).

Kaiser wouldn't be a bad place to wind up. The schedule is OK. You would start on the straight wing citations. It all depends on the drive as the amount of time on call would be significant. You mentioned you were South Bay based. Our mechanic struggles to get to work and HWD is a lot closer than OAK. Choose your commute wisely.
