Looking for a few good volunteers

to head up the new JC Event Committee that doug and I want to set up.

it'd be a year long committment in helping us set up JC events like the up and coming SLC ski trip, annual NetworkJC in vegas and other regional NJC events that we'd like to set up around the country at specific times during the year...

events may be in Washington DC, Orlando, Chicago, Phoenix, California and maybe others...

We could include air show events as well such as the Lakeland, Oshkosh and Boeing open house...

but the idea is to get a committee together to discuss what we could do at these events, put the motions in place, and keep everything running smoothly using JC funds.

We already know a couple of people we'd like to be in the committee and that's just a matter of Doug and I talking to them.. however, would anyone else be interested? it is a big committment, it is a volunteership, and you would need to uphold your end of the deal in order for this to be a successful venture and to continue in future years Committee...

We're looking mostly at having discussions via forum and/or chat conferences as a group...there may be times when we can all get together to iron out details as well... opportunities are limitless at this point...

Also, if anyone knows of a good event planner, that also, is a possibility.
 
Chicago sea and air show

Here is a idea if you and Doug decide to make regional NJC at Chicago - Chicago sea and air show. :)

It usually schedule around toward around end of August for Chicago sea and air show on the beach of Lake Michigan. Afterward, There are always something to do at downtown Chicago, such as UNO's pizza, Espn Zone for some arcade fun, booz :p and museum campus for family.

I'll volunteer! Hey, I'm a stay-at-home mom with nothing to do. (sarcasm). But seriously, I'd love to help.


How about an Indy gathering? Indy is actually really centralized, and easy to get to from all points Midwest.
 
Let me know some more specifics, but I'd be interested in volunteering. I'm not sure how much help I would be, but I suppose every little bit helps. :) I'd like to make a suggestion of Nashville (since Southwest flies there) or Atlanta (Delta) as a regional meeting place. Let me know! :)
 
I'll definitely be willing to help! Especially if we'd like to do a Chicago Air and Water show meet in August. I'll have a place by then, and maybe we could use my apartment for part of the weekend. I also know plenty of hotspots in Chicago that we should arrange to use for a group. Actually I have it all in my head now, why is August so far away!!! :D

Well i doubt i could help much or at all, but if you ever need recomendations to some restauraunts that support large groups in Socal or anything, i'd be able to help!

Sorry i cant be much more help...i dont think you would want a 15 year old organizing events and getting it all together, but if you'd like i can. Anything you feel i can do, i am definately a volunteer!:rawk:
 
Count me in! I can be the SLC connection. And if I don't transition to the jet next year I will certainly be able to get the weekend off. -C
 
If 'middle of nowhere Alaska' was an option I would most definently help. Sort of looks like I am out of luck:p
