... I see alot of jobs, but the qualifications needed for hire arent necessarily that easy to find.

Im a recent college grad looking into some of these exciting, well paid, carrear path

for example. what is a "Airway Transportation Systems" and "Aviation Safety Inspector'' position, and what training/certification etc is required? Is it similar to a air traffic controller?

thanks?

Are you searching on the FAA's website, or are you on USAJOBS.com? Any job listed by the FAA will be on USAJOBS.com. On that website, each job has a "job description" as well as "qualifications" tab that should show you what the job entails, and what qualifications are necessary for said job.

Here is an example for an Aviation Safety Technician position in Alaska;
http://jobview.usajobs.gov/GetJob.aspx?JobID=99917731&JobTitle=Aviation+Safety+Technician&q=FAA&where=&brd=3876&vw=b&FedEmp=N&FedPub=Y&x=60&y=14&AVSDM=2011-06-03+00%3a14%3a00#duties

There are tabs at the top of the page that should provide you with what you need.
