That's not too bad. I think the longest flight I've been on is around 11 hours and that wasn't so bad. A full meal, a couple cocktails and a good relaxing loop on the iPod and I'm out for at least 7.

Yea that's true, i was on a 9 hr flight from New Delhi to Amsterdam and i slept for about 8 hrs then just read a book and had a meal.

I've been on similar, I've been on the A340 (lufthansa) from DEN to Frankfurt, I think it was 10 or so hours, I've done DEN to Heathrow on a 777, and I've done LAX-tahiti-auckland and auckland-PHNL-KDEN, those were killers. I really hate long flights to be honest.

Got you all beat. 19 hours from LAX to MEL (Australia) We had a maintence issue that took 4 hours delaying us from a 15 hour flight to 19 hour.

I have done several 15 hour flights.

SLEEP and more SLEEP.

Longest flight I've been on (non-stop) was 5.5 hrs. I tend to get ansy on any flight longer than 3 hrs. Usually because i'm ready to just get up and move around by then.

Jumping to the front,

Lots of long trips & long trips suck, here is a creative flight, that I had

LAX-SFO (1 hour)
SFO-SEA-ANC (5 hours)
ANC-KHV-TPE (12 hours)
We 6 hour layover in Tapei, we missed the Hong Kong curfew
TPE-HKG (1.5 hours)
25 hour day

ANC - Anchorage Alaska
KHV - Russia
TPE - Tapei
HKG - Hong Kong

man, coming back from LAS this week we sat on the ramp here at DEN for 30 minutes waiting for our gate, I was going crazy.

I've also done DEN for Frankfurt, but that was luxary compared to some military travel. I've been in the back of a C-130 for 9 hours flying over the pond several times. That gets old unless you like the endless drone of non-synced propellers. The depressing part is that 9 hours only gets 1800 miles in the Herk

I was dreading the flight to and from Paris, but in actuality it wasn't bad at all. I'm sure I could do a 10-hour flight. Just listen to music, eat, sleep, read. Time goes by.

Sitting in front today we had a four-hour flight from YYT (St Johns, NFD) to EWR. I started getting bored and actually started going through our Flight Manual to keep myself occupied!

lucky for me me employer at the time was paying so I got to go business class and had entertainment, the zoo class on lufty's A340 gets nothing I guess. I ate SO good :nana2:

Last week I came home from Osaka. KIX-HKG, HKG-YVR, biz class, Cathay Pacific. That was about 19 hours including a three hour sit in the CX lounge in HKG. Nicest lounge I've ever been in. Even in biz class, my back and backside can't take 12 hour flights. After YVR, it was SEA-GEG on Horizon. 25 hours of travel before I got home.

Beijing to Chicago was about 13 hours. And we arrived 10 minutes before we departed...

Yeah, time changes are the best part of long flights. I've been on flights that chased the sunset. It never really set going east over the Atlantic. We were pretty far north and it was early spring..

This thread is what makes me want to be a domestic pilot more & more. Any flight over 5-6 hours and I want stab my eyes out!

DE...I'm gonna guess that UPS puts you on a commercial flight when your working an overseas line, then when your done puts you on back on another flight to the states...right?

Most of the time they make it so you have to operate to either asia or europe. Sometimes, however, they are forced to deadhead you over. Sometimes it's a company deadhead and sometimes a commercial ticket. As a senior F/O, I have only bid trips with commercial deadheads, except for once, when I sat on a UPS MD11, which actually was a great ride.

Once I upgrade in April, I won't be doing anymore overseas flights. It's too complicated and too much of a pain in the butt. Not that I could hold one anyhow. I'll be happy doing hot PHX....I think.

Hmmm... my longest is about 6hrs LAX to Kauai. My second longest is a tie between SEA-Washington DC, and SEA-JNU with two stops. I was happy to have leather seats on the JNU flight, 4 hours and didnt even squirm:).
